It is easy to underestimate the power of prayer to change the lives and circumstances of people. A common concern for each others' welfare spurs us on to pray for each other, the local community and God's hand to positively change the lives of every person in Midlothian.
And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Ephesians 6:18, New International Version)
Prayer is both a solitary and a communal activity. However the result is the same: to interact with our God, for our transformation and the improvement of others.
24-7 Prayer is an international, interdenominational movement of prayer, mission and justice that began with a single, student-led prayer vigil in Chichester, England in 1999 and has spread by word-of-mouth into 100+ nations.
Gorebridge Parish will be holding our 24-7 Prayer between 28th September to 5th Oct 2014. All are encouraged to participate in this event. Participation is as simple as dedicating one hour of your time in prayer for the local community, your friends and family, the country and even the world. The boundaries of our prayer are limitless!

The Meeting Place
At The Meeting Place, you'll spend time worshipping God through contemporary christian music. There is also a special emphasis on prayer at specific sections of the gathering. During this you can ask one of our Prayer Ministry members to pray for you. You can ask us to pray about anything that you're experiencing difficulties with: personal life, work, family, illness or even your significant other. Anything you share with us will be kept confidential.
This event happens at 6.30pm on the first Sunday of every month.
